Haters are going to hate no matter what something offers. We really shouldn't bother with them.

It's related to what people feel is important. Most of the people around me feel that they can find their soulmates online but if those people are interacting with others int he same way, wouldn't that hurt their pride? So that could be one of the reasons.

I still don't get what the problem is. Isn't it a good thing to get an adaptation? They have remakes as well. I still think it's all for the advertisement and if the series is good, then it will be a hit for sure. Be it an anime or live adaptation

No I haven't and I always watched either English dubbed version or the English subbed version with Japanese audio.

I don't mind bitter endings and open endings. If I am being honest, I prefer such endings that makes us think about the series, even after it had ended.
