Do you get hurt/mad when people expect you to take a step back just because you are a woman/older/younger to keep the peace?

It irritates me to no end. Why the heck would anyone needs to take a step back when they didn't do anything and needs to compromise first to keep the peace?
Sometimes I just wanna get mad at the whole world for treating people this way.

This feels like a lifetime ago now. @Elvis @DarkAngel @Rinko

I was involved in a small fight with the security staff. His attitude towards woman was pretty poor.
Ugh... Anyway by accident he knocked a woman employee down. I was there when she fell. He just said sorry and didn't even help her
When the employee said I will talk to the concerned department... Then others kept saying... She should compromise and he already apologized. I was really mad but that employee didn't try to argue and went away....
I was in no position to help her after that.
So that made me really upset. Why do people treat others this way?
