you are so right. The problem is, at least within the United States, that there are in fact two different systems running concurrently with each other.
The COMMON system, which includes the normal, everyday workers. People who have mortgages, goto work, slave for hours everyday, attempt to save for retirement one day far, far away. This also includes the typical justice system. The laws that people are held responsible to.
Then there's the WEALTHY system, which is reserved for people with a net worth of like five million plus. These people can literally buy their way out of the Justice system. These people don't "work" eight hours a day. They have a completely alien lifestyle compared to Common people.
And the WEALTHY system will remain in force until it is violently oppressed by the Common peoples. Think France 1790. The wealthy broke the peasant's Social Contract, and so the peasants Ate The Rich. This is coming to America quite soon. People are fed up with the complete lack of accountability and justice, all the (wealthy) criminals doing whatever they want, whenever they want.
All the Common people need to do is STOP WORKING. Crash the economy. Yup, people will die. Unfortunately, we're at this point. Voting will not work when the voting mechanism has been compromised. And the problem with this is that it can't be only a few people that stop working. Like, a massive number of people, over 30% of the population needs to stop working. As long as there's people willing to work for crap wages, the problems will continue. We need to evolve as a Society, and we can't do that with a bunch of old cronies who refuse to retire, still in power.
