Maid and bunny outfits in anime

lol there are just too many
i just want to understand why they are so popular lol. i get it they are funny but other outfits can be cute too.
 
The maid thing is about giving up control. It's a dom and sub thing without the whips and leather. The bunny girl thing is about letting go and doing something crazy and releaseing your inhibitions.

that's not what i expected at all kaden.
there is lot more than i ever knew lol. i just thought it's because of the cuteness alone.

I'll agree they can be over the top sometimes and take away from the story in a bad way, but sometimes the eye candy is good.
